Evidence: Z.ai publishes the GLM-5.2 model card and weights under an MIT license. The card now links to a newer GLM-5.3-BF16 model; GLM-5.2 should not be described as the latest release without qualification.
Start with the deployment choice
For a hosted API, verify availability in your operating region, the account’s model identifier, current price and data handling terms. For your own inference service, use the exact model revision and supported runtime from the model card. Open weights do not by themselves establish that your existing hardware can serve the model.
Test the work you need
Use the same bug, test and documentation tasks with the same tools and acceptance checks. Keep rejected attempts and manual fixes. Vendor benchmarks describe the vendor’s evaluation setup; they do not predict your repository’s accepted-change rate.
Check the integration independently
The MonkeyCode project lists the GLM model family. That is not proof that every GLM-5.2 endpoint is enabled in every hosted plan or desktop configuration. Verify the actual model route in your selected edition before making a compatibility claim.
This replaces the earlier regional hardware narrative with an evaluation guide for international teams. The first task and recording templates provide a reproducible starting point.
